View Full Version : Which CD Changer, and where is the connector... Wholsea 09-26-2002, 12:11 PM I am lookin to get the CD changer for my A6 (1997) Which connector should I look for, and where is the connector in the trunk. -- Whol beep-beep 09-26-2002, 01:14 PM Just remember, you need Audi's CD changer. I did not hear about aftermarket compatable models. You can use any CD changer with 8-PIN connector (like from A4 or A8). I am not sure about Porsche and VW CD changers. 20VT90q 09-26-2002, 03:20 PM I don't want to intrude on your post but i too am looking for a cd changer. I ahve a 100CS (1993), i beleive it is a 13 pin plug but i need to know definitively. thanx Wagonmann 09-26-2002, 06:12 PM The Audi 8 pin is one of the "bastards" of the automotive world. There is no adapter commercially available to use other CD players. Only audi's 8 pin works. I know in the wagon the plug is in the left rear storage space, under the rubber flooring, secured in a foam tube. Jim '97 A6qw Quattro value package |
