Quiet Smooth and Great in the Snow. Also Reasonable $68.00 Each. The 1995 and 1996 A6's came with Eagles from the factory (possible others too). 195/65R15 Norm 1996 A6 Quattro Jeffrey K. 03-27-2002, 07:57 AM About 9 months ago, I put a set of Sumitomo HTR's (195/65/15)purchased from Tire rack on my '93 100cs and I have had them rebalanced at least 4 times, to no avail. Even visited Rim & Wheels works in Newton, MA and had a rim (slightly) straightened. Still vibrates. The tech said it looked to him like a few of the tires were "out of round" - belts slipped - and I contacted Tire Rack immediately. They said that if the tires had less than 8/32 too late. Belts slip very early if problem with the tire. But I never had a belt slip and genuinely thought that it was just poor balancing. Am looking to replace, but I think I will first call Sumitomo corporate to see if they will remedy. Would also like to go one or two sizes wider - probably 205/60 or 215/60. Am not an aggressive driver and like a firm ride, but lots of highway and appreciate smooth and quiet. Had Cooper Cobra GTH's on last time and they were fabulous but loud. Any suggestions for an all season tire? |
