I have been looking into buying a chip for a while now, however, I stand divided. I cannot decide between the low cost of the Neuspeed chip or the high torque advertized by WETT. I am also interested in the chips that reduce TIP shifting times. Does it really make a difference or should I just spend the extra $$ and get the WETT without the improved shifting code. Should I just get the P-chip and save a lot of cash but sacrifice a little performance. Is there another chip that offers similar performance at a better cost and maybe with the shift code? I really need your guys help.

I keep seeing the same posts over and over again but for just cause. I have the same questions and cannot seem to find anything that stacks all of the chips against one another. Can someone please provide enough information in order to create a performance spec and feature list on the different chips??
Thank you

If you just want to compare hp charts for various chip makers then contact the chip makers yourself. I'm not saying this to be a jerk, rather it affords you the important opportunity to interact with the various vendors, which will help you decide who seems to have the best customer service (all seem pretty good, but the interaction is important).
The reason I say the data isn't there is that the hp charts provided by the individual chip vendors are not terribly useful for comparison. First off, there may be differences in the car or dyno used for testing, second, climatic differences at the time and location of the testing also insure differences. Third, many argue that such charts can be made to show pretty much whatever the tuner wants (within reason).
The fact of the matter is that there are differences between chips, in how much power they make, and where they make that power. There are also differences between tuners, many of these tuners are new to tuning Audis. There's plenty of information around, here and on various vendors' sites. Do your homework and ask specific questions here and on the performance forum. Also, if you can find an A4 owners group near you, not only are events a lot of fun, but you will have the opportunity to to talk to those who have chipped their cars and ride in chipped cars (opportunity to compare how fast different chips feel).
There were plans for a big chip shootout, but, from what I understand, backing from European Car magazine fell through and it hasn't happened.

ECU chips do not alter Tiptronic shift times. There is a separate chip for that. Check out http://WWW.GIACUSA.COM for more info.
