Just wondering if you could post what issues you have run into getting an extended warranty company to cover claims. It would be good if we learned from each other how to deal with these extended warranty companies.

I just ran into 1SourceWarranty wanting to deny a claim for the digital cluster. The backlight went out, so they denied it saying that "bulbs" aren't covered. What I impressed upon them is that the illumination is embedded on the circuit board and the digital cluster, being backlit LCD, is usesless without this illumination. The diamond coverage has "full coverage" for digital instrument clusters, so I'll keep you posted.

Problem we have is, they can claim whatever they want when on the phone... a part is covered, but how they define it as "broken" or "needing replacement" is a different story.
So far I haven't had any claims denied ... they wanted a rebuilt compressor on the AC, though, since it was 1/2 the cost. Still waiting for a part that isn't damaged from the supplier.

My Audi extended warranty is through AUL Administrators with the top coverage, but I'm paying for my LCD dash display replacement. My warranty says it covers "high-tech electronics", but apparently the dash display doesn't fall under that category, which is a lot of bull to me. Other than this one incident, they've paid for everything else though, but the rest were all small repairs. This is the most expensive one I've had so far.

1SourceWarranty did end up covering the new center display cluster. So far, I haven't had anything denied - and I don't intend to. It seems prudent to spread out the repairs.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
