Yup. I got it. I had the opportunity to get into the MTM Stage 3 RS4, with Mike Hoppen from hoppen motorsports. I also had a chance to talk to Joe Hoppen. Owner of all that is Hoppen. :)

What can i say about the RS4 except that it is amazing. The car is blindingly fast. I got tears in my eyes when he pulled out of a turn in first, putting all 550Hp to the floor. Yes...550hp is what Joe told me. Some other specs were 0-100kmh in 4.0 sec. Topspeed 310kmh. The car has been tuned by MTM for the additional power. Chip and exhaust and larger fuelpumps are what i know of. It also had the newer Porsche Monoblock racing calipers instead of the factory dual blocks. 14inch crossdrilled/slotted rotors went behind the 18inch BBS wheels. Covering them were 265/40/18 Bridgestone Potenza's.
In between the testdrives we had to staop to do some fine tuning to the computer because of the gas octane rating being what it is. Some "pinging" was bothering Mike and also he was kind of dissapointed to feel the loss in power from using the mixed fuel. They had to mix the fula with some special additives to give it a better rating.

To me the ride felt surprisingly soft. Such low profile tires on 18's would seem to make the ride alot more harsher than it was. Inside the Rs4 were Recaro seats. Nice and confortable. The speedo was marked off in kmh and went on to a stunning 310 number. It also had a lcd display screen in the console wich showed satellite navigation and Tv and cd and everithing else.

The shifts were smooth and felt like they just popped into the right gear everyshift Mike made. (Skill i believe)
The car is really fast and when i Spoke to Mike, he told me that at Atlanta racetrack he passed Vipers and Corvettes and Porsche Turbo's, making them look asif they were looking for parking spots.

I will post some more pics later. I also got rides in Hoppens tuned A6 2.7T and Allroad and there was a 340hp TT which i missed. :(
The only thing i felt which felt odd in the Rs4 was the really quick 1st gear. It almost seemed asif you just get to get going and then you have to shift.

Any questions???

I actually brought my A6 down instead of the TT too..Sorry i didn't run into you stranger..

The Rs4 was AMAZING!!!! Damn near gave me whiplash.

The tunes A6 was great, but it needed the 6 speed tranny.

The 340 HP TT was also out of this world. Mike took me for a ride and my god that thing is fast...Started my head swimming for what I should do to my TT.

The TT had a modified K24 turbo hybrid in it, and other signifigant changes, but it still road smoothly.

I havn't had a chance to look at any dyno graphs from the RS4

but alot of times, a really short first gear helps in aceleration if the peak HP & torque are higher in the RPM band.

Thus you can get to that peak power very quickly, and then shift into 2nd somewhere in the middle of the power band.

The 928 I am looking to aquire has a very long 1st gear because it has alot of low end torque.

The car looks amazing, especially the interior! Thats great you got to ride in it!
