Picked up my A4 2.8 last Tuesday from Heishman's in VA. Love the car drives great. The 10 spoke wheels are growing on me. I already have lots of brake dust showing especially on the front wheels. 300 miles on the car to date. The opal gray interior looks great IMHO.

The only problem I have had is that the day after I picked it up I noticed a slight pull to the right while driving on the highway. I took it back and they agreed that the alignment was slightly off. They made me an appointment for this Thursday. A word of advice: Before you leave the lot with your new car, definitely drive it down a long, straight road.

Question: What is that little black cover next to the rear ashtray for and how do I get it back on? Out of curiosity, I pulled the cover off.

Thanks.

I did the same thing, I pulled the little black cover of in the back seat too. What you need to do is start from the bottom up and slide it up it takes a couple of tries. Make sure that you are lined up in the middle of it otherwise it does not click into place.

I think the cover protects some sort of power outlet (but I could not see it). The cover slids on and off in a horizonal (back to front) motion. The steel clip on the cover bottom fits in the slots of the console and the you just push it forward. If you pulled the cover up to take it off, the clip might have popped off the cover as mine did. When you put it back on, make sure you place the non-prong end of the steel clip in the "L" style nubs, then press the prong end down hard and the "I" nubs hold it in place by friction. Make sure you press the clip all the way down on the nubs or the clip will not hold the cover to the console.
