I find that the front headrests in my 94 100S are completely useless. They look nice looking but are set way too far back. When driving especially, I can't rest my head on it without tilting my head back so far that I no longer see the road. (It's kind of hard driving while keeping an eye on the headliner). As far as whiplash protection goes, my neck would probably snap right before my head touched the headrest.

Anyway I was wondering if there's a replacement headrest out there that would be positioned more forward and actually provide some support to the back of my head.

Maybe it's because I'm tall coz it seems like these headrests might work if my shoulders weren't so high above seat. I'm only 6'2" which is tall not uncommon.

Any help would be appreciated. When driving my girlfriends 95 Passat I can rest my head on the headrest and that's something I'd like to be able to do especially when I'm really tired after a long day.

I'd agree. That's by far the most disappointing feature in the car. Something about having to put a 10" pillow behind your head to snooze on a road trip, that doesn't seem right.
