I remember something from some time back about the light flashing. Does anyone rembember what this is? Seems like it was a common problem.

Check your brake fluid resevoir. There is a floater in there which can trigger the e-brake light when the fluid is low. If you have to top it off make sure it is DOT 4 Fluid!!! ALso check the trigger/switch under the hand brake. TOo
