Lets assume i got an 96-97 a6 , and Got the works of HP upgrade at least 2500 worth, which in turn brings it to about 220hp , now heres the thing..lets also assume the car has an AT , would it survive all that extra power?

When talking to vortrag, (I think I talked to Jason) he said it should be able to handle up to 250hp.

UrS6 4.2... same transmission. I think it would handle it but might not be *as* strong in the long run.

Why don't you just get an UrS4/S6?

IMO, you get what you pay for. Settle for a FWD model, 1995, with high miles, in need of brakes and service, etc. Unless there is another corner of the market I don't know of. ;) A few people get good deals, but I really do mean a few. I'd have to allow at least $13,500 for any kind of decent A6 right now.

but im still thinking that i want to sell this a4 in seattle for a profit and get a lower miliage one somewhere in the east again.. they cost less out there. im in michigan right now and i got my a4quattro with 105k for 9500total.. excellent condition, ( woman owned ) :) i think i got a good deal.. i plan on selling it in seattle for 13k

Actually, I just bought (last weekend) what seems like a pretty sweet A6 for $10K in Oregon. It's a 1995 FWD sedan, pretty loaded.... 85K miles, in good condition. Only immediate work will be touching up some paint chips, and probably swapping out the O2 sensors and fuel filter.... unless there are some hidden landmines!

My '96 A6Q has 95k miles on it, and just about every option. Anyone interested at $14k?
