I remember someone talking about it awhile ago. I was looking over some pictures of the S6 today and noticed how good it looked.
Possible to get it ordered from the UK? Or maybe someone in the US?

I got close once with a guy that was at a parts desk in germany, but he didn't speak enough German to come through. ;) Couldn't describe the parts well enough. If the S6+ were offered in the US or canada, this would be quite simple. But it was a Europe-only car. I'm on the list if anybody ever gets a source for these parts.
Alternative is to get OEM replacement parts, and have them primed and painted properly, so they won't chip.
I can talk to a couple S6+ owners to find out what the paint is like exactly for that possibility. Also maybe see if they can get some info on the parts. But they have wagons and we need the parts for the sedan. I suppose I'll give it a try.

So it sounds like its possible, if we could get ahold of the right person in the UK who can speak a common language ;)
Obviously they replace them in the UK, (I am sure accidents happen which damage the trim, etc)
so there has to be a way if the right person is contacted.
I will see if I can somehow talk to the owner of the dealership audi here, he is on a committe along with my father so I might be able to see if he could somehow order overseas.

Actually we have one of the 2 imported S6+ in our club in Orlando. The guy is back in Germany right now, and he could probably bring you back some stuff, or get some info for you if you are interested. I am sure I could dig up his e-mail address.

But if you could, I'd appreciate that! Where's the other S4/S6 w/4.2?

I thought to black out the trim. So before taking sanding paper and taking of the chrome, I have used black electric tape and covered all chrome with it. I do not think, that it looks much better than the chrome. May be because I have a black car. Sorry, I did not make any pictures. I would suggest to do the same before ordering all this parts.

Is this standard with the 100cs? that it has black trim?
If so, couldn't some 100cs trim be ordered and just put it on our A6's?

If you could bring back info / stuff, that would be great!

I will try to reproduce it with the black tape and
might go and do it bymyself.
Thanks for the picture.

I'll take a couple pictures to show you the trim on the 100CS, later. It's not the same trim 'design' as on the A6. Not aluminum but solid metal, rather, on the roofline, and on the doors, I think it's rubber. Maybe it could be switched since the panels are the same, but I imagine it would be a bit of trouble.
Yes, it's standard equipment. Grille trim is the only chrome on the car.
