Well, thanks to Muhammad for really pushing for us to get our own forum. I own a 1995 pearl white/Ecru interior A6 61,000 miles. I will be posting pic's probaly Sunday, when I can take a pic. My first audi was A 1983 Audi 5000S back in 1989. When someone smashed into it on the expressway in rush hour traffic I bought A 1982 Audi 5000 Turbo. I kept this car until 1995 when I sold it with 140,000 miles (original trans and engine were still good) then I bought a 1995 Audi 5000 turbo, that was a nice car until someone hit and totaled it while it was parked. That was bad, but then the beauty that caught my eye was a 1990 Audi 200 turbo I LOVED THIS CAR. Nevertheless, it had it's share of annoying electrical problems. When I bought the car it had 60,000 miles on it in 1996, and I sold it in 2000 with 150,000 on it still working great (this was the original engine and transmission and it never gave me a problem.)
I still keep in touch with the guy who I sold my car to and he loves it and it is still going with 172,000 miles. I sold the 200 in August of 2000 when I bought my used 1995 A6 with 52,000 miles.
This car is really nice, the toruqe could be better but I notice that it comes alive on the highway and really roll. My dream car is an A8 and I plan to get a used one maybe a 2001 in 2004.
I live in Chicago and I LOVE AUDI'S
I pamper my Audi's and my wife complains when we go to the mall or store and I park waaaaayyyyyyy away from everbody else.

You've got quite a loyalty to Audis, it sounds! It's great to see after reading the A6 forum so much, where most of the owners don't know that Audis existed before 1998. ;) Mine are still babies at 73k and 89k... oh how I'd like to keep one for a LONG time. ;)

Again, welcome to the forum...

I am also a returning Audi Fan. I purchased a 1985 5000 Turbo w/ 70,000 miles on it in 1990. I sold the car in 1996 w/ 186,000 miles. No work on the engine or transmission except for normal tune up, and switching to Amsoil synthetic oil. I did replace most of the hydraulic hoses for the steering and brake boost, as these hoses were prone to developing leaks.

What a great car!!

I sold the car and purchased a 1990 BMW 750, and a 1983 BMW 320i project car. I have since sold both of these and purchased a 1993 100s, w/ a 5 speed. When I made the first test drive, it was like returning home. I love how these cars drive, and the overall quality of the ride is hard to beat.

My next challenge is deciding what to replace the wife's volvo with - an A6 or A4/S4.!!
