View Full Version : Do any of you know about the MAF sensors going bad on the A6? DJ Springer 06-06-2001, 11:23 PM Style12v 06-07-2001, 06:46 AM Not having experiance with it myself, but this is what I have read about various cars. The check engine light may or may not come on, Downloading codes from the ECU would tell you depending on exactly what happened to the MAF, I beleave if the engine thinks the MAF is bad it will use a default air charge table to get it's airflow values based on throttle position and RPM. Which would probably cause extreme sluggishness and bad exhaust fumes. If it hasn't completely gone, your fuel might be running very lean or very rich. Do you have any symptoms?
