Ok, kind of got this idea from miktip but hey, this works! ;) Everybody post a picture of your 100/A6... I think I've only seen about three of your cars!
Here's my '96 A6q... 73k and going strong.

hmm... rid the stock steels wheels with cheap aftermarket wheels, rid the yellow lights, and rid the '100' badge... it's sitting on my desk being pretty.

Thanks Muhammad for the email! Great to have a forum for our cars.

Any more details? Struts, too, or just springs? Difference in performance? Ride quality? Cost for parts/labor?

<center><img src="http://boostvalve.com/images/cars/A6_before_after_springs.jpg"></center><p>Here's the before and after pictures to get a better perspective.
Rear shocks are OEM originals, front are stock replacement Boges. They are progessive wound springs so the ride is close to original. Definitely helps to lower the C.G. and seems to have a bit less bodyroll. Overall I am very happy with the results. I would rate the harshness as a change from say a 15" rim to a 16" rim. Trade offs? Be careful with speed bumps, and car wash (touchless of course ;) stops. I've bottomed out those skid plates on the frame rails a few times. Also that damn front spoiler will hook on a concrete parking lot curb and is a PITA to get it loose. But, it would do that before I lowered the car. Now I park about a foot away from the curb, LOL. There's not enough camber adjustment in the slots and I have yet to correctly set my front camber (hence the trashed Yoko dbs) I need to elongate the upper strut mounting slots on the strut towers. So, yes there are some drawbacks but IMO the car looks so nice now, I could not stand seeing that 4" between the top of the front tire and the fender lip. Its not an allroad afterall, and in FL I'll never see snow. ;) Cost about $200 for the set of four. I did all the work myself. Took most of the weekend to install 'em. Only special tool I had was a spring compressor, more than one jack helps a lot too. Not a first time DIY project, but its not too bad (shop manual is helpful).

How do you like the AVS dBs? I've been thinking of getting them.

Love the new forum, thanks Muhammad....
