I was driving home tonight when a deer crossed in front of me. I had to slam on the brakes and swerve to avoid, which I just barely managed to do. The brakes locked up and I got the typical skidding noice. This happened very quickly so I wasn't on the brakes for long. Is this normal? Should I have gotten the skidding noice?
