I need to do a valve lifter job. what all do i need and should i might as well get better cams and port polish everything while im at it? where can i get titanium lifters?

To really "Port & polish" the heads they need to come off the car. Or get a spare set, port them, then install them. Either way, your going to spend a good amount of cash, time an effort. On a NA(naturally aspirated) engine, your gains, from all that work, will be small. Something like 20-30 ponies.

Simply installing a set of aftermarket cams, into a completly "bone-stock" engine, will also yield minimal gains.

IMO, your better off throwing large sums of cash into a Turbo Audi engined machine. A 20VT comes to mind. 227hp in its "stock"form. Easily modded to 300+ HP! ;O)
