I moved to the City of Ann Arbor and work in Southfield. (Likely we will be commuting to Troy soon.) Yeah, I know these are long commutes but my wife is working a Prof. at the UofM. In consideration of long hours I thought it would be best to be close to her job.
In regards to whether or not I have been on Woodward in Birmingham about a month ago, it's entirely possible. Been in the Troy, Birmingham, Bloomfied areas a few times over that time period.
You can send Francois Faloppa's contact information to me via e-mail. My name at the top of this message is a link to my e-mail address. Thanks for the info and I look forward to meeting you as well as other Audi enthusiasts in the SE Michigan Area.
BTW, did you get a chance to check out the pics of the car. I provided the link in my original post. I'll post the link again if anyone is interested.
Michcael Ivy
A4 2.8QTS

Yes, very nice car you have. One of the interior pics you posted didn't have a link. Does the ecru interior have a black piping? I've had two brief "stoplight conversations" with a guy driving a Black '98 2.8 ecru interior w/black piping. Cool interior! He was also asking about my red 2.8 and its body kit; the A!AvantGarde S System. I was just curious if it might have been you?
Anyway, I will e-mail you with Francois' # and give you some more details about what we are trying to do.
I too have a long commute, about 1 hour, one-way, depending on traffic. Your commute of Ann Arbor to Sfld. and Troy is even longer!
Welcome to the A4.org board and to SE Mich.!
-Cathleen

No, I wasn't the "stoplight guy".
As for the commute, not bad when you're in a truly enjoyable car. I enjoy my long commute here much more than my commute in Chicago. No one has fun in stop and go traffic (which is everywhere there) no matter what kind of car you have.
Michael Ivy
