OK, i don't need the crap from up manual nuts out there i know the diffrences and the pros/cons, i was wondering if i found a wrecked a4 with tip is there any way i could retro-fir into my 96 2.8?? or is this compleatly impossible?

Ask Cameron, on his 97 1.8T, he has gone from an automatic to a 5 speed manual, to a 6 speed manual to a 2.0L engine swap.

For a 2.8, bolt on patterns should be the same on the block. You may need to change CV joints and the propeller shaft, get the Tip exhaust to get clearance, get the cables and Tip shifter, and of course the tranny ECU and . It can be done, how much is the bigger question.
