Oh yea I talked to Linda, Magnecor for the 7A 20v is $138.66 shipped within the USA, anyway who can tell me where I can source the K&N Cone filter complete, I know TAP1 has something like it but it's kinda cheap wondering if theres more to it. TAP1 chip does it really perform like they say +18HP on coupe 20v?

I've heard horror stories on the 20V list about clogged up MAF sensors from the filter oil and in any case it doesn't really give you anything (in terms of power) other than the sweet, sweet induction roar of an un-silenced 5 cylinder 20V Audi. You'll also need a heat shield otherwise you'll let in hot air which will defeat the purpose.
If it's the sound you're after, I'd go the Swiss cheese route. Basically you just drill holes in the air box BELOW the filter line and NOT on the exhaust side of the box.
I've done that myself and it sounds sweet. (Note that I kept the original box intact and bought a 2nd hand box from the local wreckers and drilled that one in case I stuffed the whole thing up) The only down side is that you'll hear a bit of a drone at idle which is the sound of the idle stabiliser valve cycling.
Having said all that, some people swear by the cone filter. As always, the choice is yours....

Get a TAP chip only if you don't like your money, I'll leave it at that. Also, not so sure a cone-type filter will gain you a whole lot. The airbox isn't the major restriction as it is on other cars. Our biggest is the MAF size (tiny!!), then the throttle, then cams, then airbox IMO.
If you want to do something, do the "puffy hose upgrade" thats on 20v.org and save up for some more aggressive cams or a turbo swap.
