so you will have to pay for labor and alignment again. But it will NOT be as good as if you install a matched set of springs/shocks, that's the main point.

I installed H&R sport springs but I had the sport
package suspension. So I actually only lowered it
1/4 inch. Which I believe will not have too much
of an affect on the shocks. But I don't recommend
doing if you are lowering more than 1/2 inch.

...time consuming and expensive procedure of removing and reinstalling the springs, and then realigning the car, it doesn't make financial sense to leave in the factory shocks. They likely won't last long, and do not have the control you really need for an upgraded suspension. If you leave the originals in there, you're probably going to end up doing new ones soon anyway, which will cost you all that labor again. Do it right the first time, and forget about it! :-)
