exhaust has been a bit raspy for a while now, but this is new. Hopefully (please!) not related to my earlier post!

"Backfire" is not the correct term for this problem. I don't know what its called. Anyhow, I think it might be from bad spark plug wires causing a miss fire.

Bad cat or muffler...The 5kq used to backfire until it got a new rear muffler, and RW's 12vq pops and such when you back out of the gas (guttless kitties)...
