My '94 cabrio wouldn't start, so I thought maybe the ignition switch was cracked (which it was). When I replaced it, I thought it would solve my no-start problem, but it didn't. Then I looked at my cluster, it shows the gear is in DRIVE, but the gear shifter is in PARK. I can't move the gear shifter either. Anyone have any suggestions? fixes? advice? etc. (shift linkage or something?)

Now you need to get somebody to rock the car fore and aft while you try to move the shifter and figure out where 'park' really is. Then, it will start. You may have something loose in the linkage or something.
