and, sorry to bother the A4 owners, but I thought some of you may have owned one pre-A4 purchase. Anything I should consider? I know it's based on the older 90 platform and 2.8 engine. I really love the car's looks (a classic to me), and it has adequate pick-up (to me). Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

2.8 V6 is plenty power for this car, but it would have been great if Audi had updated it with the 30V and tiptronic

It's green with just two or three hundres miles on it. I'm not sure the year but it's a really pretty car. I had a passing thought about buying it, but then I yanked myself back to my Avant. I have really bad wander lust some times.

If it is the same green one with the upgraded ABT dual headlights, then it has been there forever. I passed it last year on my way to Sunriver. I bet they'd cut a really good deal on it.

will debut in 2001 or 2002, based upon the next generation (not yet out) A4. One of the car mags had a picture. I plan to drive this Cabriolet until that one comes around. And yes, I agree, the tiptronic would have been great. Still, it looks better than a BMW. Thanks for the posts!

I have a Brillian Black/Cognac '98 Cabrio and love it! I get a lot of stares and a lot of quesitions...What kind of car is that, a BMW??? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Anyway, the only down side to owning the car is resale potential. This is a car that's not in high demand. Good luck, whatever you decide.
