View Full Version : Installing mintex pads this weekend. Anybody know the torque for the hex screws on the caliper? pauls 10-11-1999, 04:17 PM Bob Petruska 10-11-1999, 06:30 PM The front hex guide pins require a 7mm hex driver bit, most driver bit kits go from 6mm to 8mm and skip the 7mm. Make sure you have one. The rear bolts are a 1 time self locking bolt. Use Lock-tite on the old ones and you shouldn't have any problems. The rear bolt is 13mm, but also requires a 15 mm wrench to hold the sleeve nut from turning. The FAQ write up here on this site is just great on changing the front and rear brakes. But remember that the rear pistons are a bear to get back into position. You must turn clockwise and push with Big Foot force! pauls 10-12-1999, 04:26 AM |
