But you know what.....I love this car without a chip, and still feel that it has plenty of power. It seems like the more i get a feeling for the car, and the more the engine breaks in, the more satisfied i become with it in stock form. At this point i am not sure if i am even going to chip, just because i really don't think a chip is absolutely necessary anymore. 99.5 qms alan t. 10-11-1999, 02:58 PM I feel it's just a little bit slow and struggles a bit. On the other hand with the heavy traffic here in D.C. area I'm not sure how often I'd be able to open her up with the added chipped horsepower. alan t. 10-11-1999, 02:59 PM Jon 10-11-1999, 03:33 PM Rodney 10-11-1999, 03:35 PM It is an absolute blast, especially in the twisties. It's also a great highway cruiser. Yes, I feel it needs more power, but I thought my mother's 1990 300ZX needed more power too, so I'm a bit jaded. I live in MD, close to DC so it could be arranged (post your email address if you want to). It really makes a huge difference. It goes from quick to fast (but not quite sports car fast). The only problem with chipping is that I now know I need better brakes and a lower suspension, to handle the extra power. Oh well, you can't have Everything :). adc - chipped chipped 10-12-1999, 09:19 AM You'd go from pleasantly surprised to positively amazed in less than a minute. |
