Anyone ever take apart the window regulator of a CQ ? Actually just the motor? I took my door panel of the other day to get to the bottom of my crunching/non-operating drivers side window on my CQ and found one of the cables off of the carrier. The window was stuck down. There was no apparent reason for it to be off the carrier, the cable wasn't prayed, the metal grommet looking piece that keep it locked into the carrier wasn't worn or broken. It was all the way up in the top left green pulley and there was a good amount of "extra" cable around the bottom right green pulley.
With the help of a friend, I propped up the window and with some clever operation of the switch and brut force we got the cable back in the carrier and the window operates fine except for the loud crunching coming from the motor. Is it difficult to take apart the motor? Could the cables have crossed inside the plastic gear of the motor? Should I just buy one from Force5 and rebuild mine at a later time? Any pointers and BTDT's would be greatly appreciated.
