I damaged my crankshaft front oil seal by putting a bolt that was a small bit too long into it. I have now ordered the new one and I am enquiring how hard is it to replace? Must it just be prised out and the new one inserted in? I read that you replaced yours thats why I ask.

How did you put a bolt into your front oil seal?
The old seal needs to be removed. A couple methods exist to remove, but one you have to be very careful with because the tool used to remove can damage the surrounding aluminum.
The other utilizes the factory tool, which works great, but is expensive to buy.

When I was putting back in the four hex headed bolts vor the vibration damper a put one that was a bit to long in and tightened it up! It then leaked oil. I`d say ill be using a screw driver to get it out??

You need to be very careful using a driver to not damage the aluminum area on the oil-pump.
The seals are often very difficult to remove.
Then your gonna need a method to install! ;O)
