...as all the A4's I've seen have a 100% mechanical trunk latch mechanism. I think I remeber reading that the '00 A4 has a rear trunk latch mechanism that can be controlled with the remote or "popped" from the interior via some switch somewhere.

The TT remotes have a rear hatch button on them.

The remote that came with my S4 four only has two buttons. Lock and Unlock. Unless you're considering the panic button a third button.

and a button inside on the '00's? What is the difference on the three button remote of the '00 and the three button remote on a 99.5?
