Does anyone know a way to wire RS2 headlights so both bulbs come on when high beams are on?

Just got my lights from Alex installed and wired up the flasher. Was thinking it would be cool if both came on at the same time. Blind everyone. LOL

Also would there be any problems with this drawing to much current? Burning headlight switch? Just a few thoughts, and worries.

Other than that these lights are trully amazing. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Good projector beam stuff isn't cheap. Plus, its low volume...

We should get that cheap Jap company that makes Euro spec lights for our cars to replicate the RS2 lights.

Did you use premade harness? what about relay? Blau has a 2 or 3 week backorder... Aren't they pretty though?

Howdy! After talking with Oliver Sprenger about this very subject a while back he mentioned that the simple fix is to do the following:

"The wire on pin 10 (yellow) has to be moved to pin 8."

After scanning both US and RS2 headlight diagrams I couldn't confirm this fix for the US headlight switch, though sometimes my eyes and electrical diagrams don't work together well. So take a peak folks:

<img src="http://www.euro-audi-parts.com/Used/rs2headlight.jpg">

The US diagram applies to '90-'95, except for very late '95 models.

From what I see on the switch pin #8 is already used for 56 on the US switch, so my thought is the US and European switches are different enough that this fix may not work, Oliver comments after looking at the diagrams?

Anyone see the quick fix? I am building a harness for my buddies car as I type, personally I think it's the best way to go. It can be done with budget parts, head to your local junkyard and find any Audi, pull the relay bank from under the dash out, cut the wiring to leave you with something to splice into, get some cheapo 40A relays, a cheapo fuse holder, some 8g wiring to lead in from the battery, and get some B4 plugs if you are working the lights onto a TYP89. Wiring it up is simple as could be.

my rs2's i put in with nicks help at autox.biz. i wired it just as his wiring diagram says on his website in the performance section. works like a charm and looks beautiful... just out of curiousity to those who already have the RS2's...what does the beam pattern look like? mine is sharp but it starts out horizontal then in the middle it angles up about 45 degrees looking like an obtuse L. normal?

Howdy! They do work in this way, but having both bulbs up on the high beams provides considerably better lighting. I have run both ways, immeadiatly realizing the single bulb high beam setup was not good enough for country night driving. A harness is easy to build, add one diode to the trigger wires, and proper, safer lighting is available!

I am working with Oliver Sprenger to see if the US switch can actually perform the proper output for the RS2 Headlights, so far it looks like it may not be possible, only with European switches.

Cheers,
