I dropped by Circle Audi in socal and saw a MY2K 2.8 with sports package. I know a lot of people will think otherwise but I actually liked the news sport package wheels. I know they dont look as aggressive but I think they are pretty kewl. I was apartment hunting and I saw another Audi with Ronal R28s. I was planning to get these rims for my car but after seeing it on this Audi. It didn't suit my taste. It's really interesting to see a car on a picture and in front of you. So, now instead of getting Ronal R28s; I wouldn't mind sticking with OEM wheels. They are not that bad. Now, what would I do with this extra $$$.
I'm not here to flame ppl who howe R28s. I guess so many ppl have put down the OEM sports wheels (including me) that after seeing one in person. THey are not actually bad. IMHO. I know someone here recently posted a message regarding him liking the OEM sports wheels =)

with a plus 1 upgrade you can not only increase tire width thereby increasing the contact patch but also shorten the sidewall for flexibility. both combined will increase grip and cornering ability. with the stock 16" wheels you're limited to width and size of tire which will fit and maintain the overall stock wheel/tire diameter.
i like the 7spokers which came w/ my 99.5 sport package. i'm having a hellova time finding good 17" replacements. :( the r28's are really nice but too close to oem look imho. i want something that screams out ... but not TOO loud. :)

I saw a '00 with these wheels this weekend on a silver A4. They are not bad looking wheels, but I think I'm still going have the dealer swap with some 7-spokers. They just don't look sporty. Elegant, yes. Sporty, no. I would like to see them on my Santorin blue if/when it comes in, though. The problem is what to do with the spare since the '00's come with full-sized ones????
I was apprehensive about the '00 sport wheels, but when I picked up my '00 1.8TQMSX Santorin on Saturday, it was love at first sight. The pictures didn't do the wheels justice. No aftermarket for me, thanks!

You both are missing the point. I think part of the Audi ownership is that the car FUNCTIONS then looks georgeous. I would (will) go aftermarket because the stock wheels are not big enough.
My vote is for the 7 spokers, I wish they came in 17" size.

Yes I just ordered a A4 2.8 Q and did get the sport package. I have yet to see the new wheels, are they nice or should I proceed to what I had planned on doing and ordering the Avantgarde 17 x 8 Design S?

there was another pic from the Audi Brazil site, but that file has be written over.
IMHO, I think color of your car has a lot to do with it. I'm getting a silver car and since the rims are the same color, I think that's the reason it looks good with my future car. Also on the pic that was posted (silver audi w MY2K sports wheels). The car that I saw on the dealership looks fine with 16s, but THe picture makes it looks like its only size 15s.
