Okay a few questions:

Um, how do I dim my dash lights? I can't seem to find this in the manual.

Of the folks who have done the non-motorola cell phone install - Is it not hard to use the phone while it's so far back while inside the armrest??? Any hints for getting a Qualcomm qcp-820 in there?

Will the codes in the faq for reprogramming my remotes still work with the symphony stereo? All I really want is remote control of the windows..

Can I add a motion/glass sensor to the alarm?

I want to debadge my car, especially on the trunk, will I have to have it reapinted? If not how do I remove the badges safely?

Thanks in advance!

Matt

Probably not. I am investigating the same thing on my '00 A4. I'll post the results if noone else has figured it out first. (Have to get to a VAG tool..)

It has a motion detector. Read the manual.

No, you should not have to repaint - the badges are just glued on. Some people have reported success with dental floss followed by a "goo remover" or just soap and water. Just be gentle.

needed.

1. fishing line or dental floss (mint flavored)
2. hair dryer
3. goo gone (product name)
4. soft terry cloth car washing towels
5. car wax, soap and water.
6. about 30min to an hour

use the hair dryer on the badge until the car metal becomes hot to the touch. slowly and gently saw away behind the badges with the dental floss until removed. (theyre stuck on the body via double sided sponge tape) apply goo gone to excess adhesive and let soak in. remove the excess adhesive with the terry cloth. dont use anything that'll leave swirl marks! wash and apply a fresh coat of wax.
voila. simple.

Right knob, yup.

I didn't order it really. It was incoming, I just asked what they had coming, saw a list, picked my car and put down a deposit. It was an easy choice, they only had one qms coming immediately - had I ordered my car would have xenons and sideguard too - but the manual and sport package were my priority.

Thanks for the debadging info, I wish someone had a pic in the archive (hint, hint)

I look forward to the info on the symphony radio/remote programming....

Thanks again! :)
