Well It's finally nearing completion, while tightening battery terminals dropped a socket into the engine compartment. 4 monthss later the socket works it's way into the timing hole which has no cover on it(why I don't know) badda bing badda boom (terrible noise) the car is off the road. after getting the tranny out I find the damn socket(to ultimate suprise of course) and pressure plate quite banged up with bent bolt heads etc. I was about to siply replace clutch assembly but realized the flywheel had 2 broken speed sensor dowel pins. tried a shop, no dice. took it to my pops house and used oxy/acetyline torch to heat flywheel ring gear and pushed it off. then drilled holes through back of flywheel and punched broken pins out. (hope it's reasonably balanced still...). Now everything It's about 3 hours away from being on the road again, I just have to reconnect rear drive shaft, starter, exh. header and a few sensors etc.
Phew... What a pain in the ass! I'm happy it's nearly done and I can finally drive my baby(...?) again!
gotta go, got work to do
