I just test dove an A4 1.8t with quattro and the triptronic trans and I abosolutely love the styling and feel and handeling of the car but man was it Sloooow and unresponsive. I curretly drive a 4cyl. '93 Camry and it seems to be much smoother and have way more tourqe and power (especially down low) than the A4. Since the 2.8 is out of my price range, my question is how much more do I gain with say a chip (running 1bar) and a filter and exhaust? I've seen numbers in the 200+hp range but what does it FEEL like. I would love to have some comparisons. Or possible even drive one (but I'm in Ames IA so that's unlikely). The bigger problem I might have is that I've never driven turbo'd cars before and may not be able to put up with the dead spot below 2500 rpm's. Any comparrison's or coments would be welcome.

What a world of difference, Now I have a manual trans, and stock performance was adequate, now with the Autothority ECU (.8 Bar) it is like a different car.
