If so... is conversion itself hard, like installing the H4 Blau wire harnesses? Thanx for your time!

The bulb isnt a big thing, its the pattern of the E spec lamp that makes the differance. DOT lamps make a pencil beam down the road good, cuts down on glare, but not ideal for back roads. E spec lights have a much wider band of light travel. If its good enough for the TUV its good enough for me.
