Hey guys,
I'm going to do it. I've decided to order a 2000 A4 1.8T for lease. Here's my "problem.."
We are building a house, so obviously I will "buy" the car after the house. I plan to order the car about when we close on the house. The college grad program runs out for me two years after my graduation. When I order the car, I will still be in the window, but when the car arrives, I will be a month or two past, and I can't qualify for the normal lease through Audi FS because my credit rating isn't high enough.
Okay - so the dealer said it shouldn't be a problem, that I should still be able to get the college grad program. He said he would have to call and find out to be sure - still, I would like more opinions. I could foreseeably order the car a month before we close or earlier so it arrives "in time" (we should close late Feb. and I graduated early May) but I don't want to do that. And what happens if it takes longer than 4 months to make and it gets here in August?

Any help?

Thanks!

yes, you will be fine....as long as you have an application submitted 30-45 days prior to your car arriving, you will be fine.....AFS will make an exception...don't sweat it...
p.s. where are you buying your car?

I've got it narrowed down to three, whichever will end up giving me the best deal. I live in Greenville SC. My local dealer, as well as one in Asheville NC and one in Columbia SC had said they will do 5% over dealer invoice for me. So it will depend on who may do better than 5% or has better customer service, etc. I will try my local dealer first in January probably because of the convenience, but I'm willing to drive 100-200 miles for the right price.

Thanks for your help btw. So are you saying that as long as I submit that application before May I should be ok?
