View Full Version : Ok I guess we don't have Xenon on our 99.5. Can we? Should we get them? What's the difference?

You cannot change the lighting pattern of the lights, but, you can change the position - meaning up, down, left, right. Look in your manual. I've adjusted my lights 2 full turns (adjustment screw) upward, so the lights go out a further distance. It helps alot, but, it's still not enough.

The parts for the xenon lights will cost around $1600 - info received from Clair, Greedspeed (S4 oem equipment). That's alot of money. I am going to have some PIAA driving lights installed where the fog lights are next week. Total cost $300. I have some dichroic PIAA lights on my Honda civic and they are fantastic. Alot of people find it rude to have driving lights in the fog position. I drive on some roads that are not lighted at all and hardly marked. There are tons of deer all around. For my own safety, i need to be able to see them. If it means having an extra set of lights (properly aimed) to see, so be it. Deer/auto accidents are not very pretty.

The xenon headlights are way better than the 99.5 headlights. If the driving lights don't fit right in the fog position, than i will purchase the xenon parts. i'll post my findings next week.

I got an email from Baz last week and he said that you can order the Xenon headlight assembly for 731 a side, so about $1500 for the pair shipped.

Call or email Clair, they're really good at getting back to you. I'm still debating whether I will be getting them or not.

Al:

I'm interested in the Xenon lamps, too. I'll be watching for your post. Thanks.
