View Full Version : Anyone know where i can get a Coupe Quattro for fairly cheap? SilverCQ 05-13-2002, 12:40 PM i realllllly want one bad but wouldn't beable to buy one for a couple month's but im just tryin to get some ideas and what so cuatrokoop 05-13-2002, 01:22 PM autotrader, audifan marketplace, 20v email list. also check out the 20v.org site... snoogins 05-13-2002, 02:05 PM SilverCQ 05-13-2002, 02:59 PM sweet, i just wrote ya an email wookiee 05-13-2002, 04:17 PM Check out stoneage.com---- There is a lady here in the Bay Area that wanted $7500 for her black one with 163K, but in talking to her I had her around $5K and probably could have gone lower. She was a maniac about maintenance and is the only owner, though the dealer had it for the first 30K. doc_dregle 05-14-2002, 05:26 AM That's where I bought mine. 103K miles, all maitnance records for the last 60K, very nice condition with everything working as it should for $5200. They now have a program where you can schedule a mechanic to check out cars if you are not in the same area. Fortunately, I was and a buddy found the mechanic of the car since it came off of warantee. Good luck. You'll love the Coupe, SilverCQ 05-14-2002, 05:28 AM doc_dregle 05-14-2002, 05:51 AM I'm not sure. I only read their description after I bought mine. What I think it is is that e-bay has contracted with associate mechanics around the country. On every car auction is a button to schedule an appointment. The mechanic and the seller set up a mutually good time (either directly or more likely through e-bay - to keep it on the up and up.) The mechanic should stay honest because the potentail business that this could bring in is better than the average seller could bribe. Did you see the 1990 Coupe Quattro on e-bay that Catamount posted above? Looks pretty damn sweet. It looks as though it is in Pearl White which was one of three options in this car. It also has leather which means "Drivers Convenience Package" option number two. If it has the winter package, then this baby is the rare of the rare. If I didn't already get mine, I would be interested. |
