Would I be better off replacing the entire sound system or would a speaker upgrade do the job?

Where have people put new speakers? On the back deck?

Thanks,
Mike

2 little 4 inchers.. Ive replaced all the speakers in the car alreday..

2 4" up front
2 4" in the rear deck
2 5.25 in the rear doors
2 1" tweeters in the rear doors
1 10" sub in the trunk..

Its a nice setup.. but if you just want "decent" sound, go out and buy a new head unit, a nice pair of 4" speakers, and a component set for the rear doors.. have them install it.. its a damn huge hassle to install by yourself, I speak from experience.. and if you get it all at the same place, they proably wont charge much..

But there were several factors at play.. the largest one being Im too lazy to run wires that far..

But in all honesty, the speakers in the rear deck do add alot to the sound stage.. Im one of those people that like to have an even stage, instead of a front centric one.. makes it TRULY sound like you are there, sitting in the middle of it all..

Its personal choice, but I know what I have I like.. most people who sit in it like it too.. although at times the 10" woofer is a little much..
