The original high pitch squeek of the OEM pads was gone.
But a new dull, low pitch squeek now exists. Will this go
away shortly? How do I properly brake in these new pads?

I did the Mintex Red Box pads myself a while ago...at the same time I changed my rotors over to a set of crossdrilled Brembo's. Initially there was a bunch of scratchy grinding noises as the pads and rotors were forming their new surfaces....but never any squealing sounds. Maybe it makes a different sound when you have used rotors...did you have them turned down when you changed the pads??? Anyhow...make sure to use anti squeal compound..it really does help. I used the stuff that comes in a blue tube.

get to 40 mph, brake moderately heavy and then drive for 1/4 mile and repeat. do this about 10 times and the "singing" should go away, worked for me and I have been happy ever since!
