For all you 12v owners (and even 20v, i know there are others in this forum too) with aftermarket exhaust I'm intrested to know who made it, how much you paid (if it dosen't offend you to ask) and what kind of gains you noticed. Depending on cash flow after Christmas I may buy myself a belated present.

My UK spec 90 2.3 20V (2WD - the exhaust systems are different!) has a custom made, cat-free (downpipe back) 'Powerflow' exhaust. Cost me £440, which I believe isn't bad... the exhaust was 'mandrel' bent and fabricated on the car.

I had the choice of the 'type of sound I wanted' and a choice of tailpipes (single, twin, single at each sides, oval, square etc.)

I am now happy with the system, although it has been ammended three times - free of charge, thank god! I started with twin oval tailpipes but now have a fat, single oval... this is because of resonance problems I had. Finally, I am happy with it but I still get a little 'booming' at 2000-2500 rpm - mainly because I had the cat removed. Sounds very nice for a 'quiet' Powerflow exhaust.

Performance has improved - perhaps not 0-60mph times but the car feels more lively at lower revs. Eventually I will get the cone filter and custom chip made up - hopefully all mods should complement each other...

BTW, I believe 'Powerflow' are only situated in the UK and parts of Africa (where the company originated from).

Hope this helps...
