Happy New Year 2006!!
i haven't been on the forum for a while.
last week, i drove through a train crossing and heard a metallic noise. i stopped just after and a passer by told me i'd lost something. i looked around on the floor and found a 3 inches piece of my suspension spring.
i'm really surprised that happened because the crossing was very smooth (not like some pot holes on lot of roads).
can someone tell me if it's normal to break a spring?
for me it seems it's a manufacturing fault.
if i am right, do you think i can ask Audi to replace the broken part free of charge, knowing that my car is out of warranty.
My car is a A2 from december 2000 and there's 45000 miles on the clock.
Thanks for your answers
