Just bought a "new", 2002, A2 "moneysaver". It's got 91.000 km. on the counter but feels and rides like new. Here in Denmark where taxes on cars are 180% and insurrance- and gas- prices are insane it seemed like a sane choice. Has had it for a week now and I just love it! I've had Toyota Corollas, Camrys, Ford Scorpios, Escorts, mondeos and older Audi A6s but this A2's the best! I know I haven't had it long enough to know all the ups and downs about it yet. But ADAC has it as #1, and the danish FDM has got nothing on it. So I trust it to be a reliable car that does 25-30 km/L or 3,6L/100km. That's what my economy tells me after 1200km in a week with a heavy foot, not eco mode!. And it's fast too. I've taken a BMW 320 and Citroen C2 VTR today. When I get it in to 2. gear( manual shift, not eco mode!) and floor it, it's of! And on the freeway at about 130-150 km/h it's like a train; quiet, calm and fast. I love overtaking A4s and A6s on the freeway and see the drivers when they read A2 1,2 TDi...
