I hope these were based on one my suggestions a few days ago. :)

Maybe a tad on the tall side. Take the dimple out and etch the hift pattern on top.

On the other hand keep the dimple and add a lot more except on a ball like the old GTI knobs. I would really like that! I might even buy one. Although the metal wouldn't be too fun in the hot or cold.

Also, the flat aluminum-type surface texture looks cold and has no...um...tactility. So I guess you're drawing these things, EP? What program are you using, on what kind of machine? Very cool!

Yeah, the material mapping could be anything. Could show it in glass...

How about the curves? too thin?

Where are you getting these pictures? They look like screen prints from the movie "Tron." Anyways, would an aluminum shifter get a little cold on the hands here in Minnesota in the winter?
