View Full Version : Is there any interest in a group buy of airsprings?? Ex-PzKW Cdr 08-31-2006, 10:30 AM Say at around $470 with the service kit? Screen Name:12345 08-31-2006, 01:10 PM glidar 08-31-2006, 02:19 PM But so far my soap solution hasn't positively identified the bag as the guilty party. Do all four corners have their own part #, or are L/R interchangeable? engarcon 08-31-2006, 04:57 PM Right now that is a great idea....is that for all four...also interchangeable?. want 08-31-2006, 05:49 PM front: rear: dan farmer 08-31-2006, 05:56 PM Rally_nutcase_1982 08-31-2006, 06:07 PM xtreetoes 09-01-2006, 02:24 AM Ex-PzKW Cdr 09-01-2006, 07:16 AM Ex-PzKW Cdr 09-01-2006, 07:20 AM that is the price for ten springs and kits. I'll ship them individually, shipping is around 10-15 bucks. they would ship in 5-7 days. arnick'02-6spd 09-01-2006, 07:21 AM in shock feel - damping and rebound - between my parents 03 4.2 with 25K and my 02 2.7 with 51K. I think they wear out faster than people think. dan farmer 09-01-2006, 07:30 AM Ex-PzKW Cdr 09-01-2006, 07:32 AM I have one set of prototypes, But it will be $100,000 in setup costs just to get the first set made. arnick'02-6spd 09-01-2006, 07:48 AM I was just talking about a group buy of oem allroad shocks. I think fresh ones might make a difference. (I bet it's real spendy, though). But my car feels very different on level 2 as opposed to level one... First thing I'm going to do is re-set to reset my ride to original settings and see how it feels. I think the previous owner of this car did 15 mm rear and 10 front - don't ask me why, but that's where is measures out. I might try a 390 mod and will probably settle on down 5mm rear and 10mm front. Have you found a 'magic number' for ride height? Lowered, but with still some wheel control? Ex-PzKW Cdr 09-01-2006, 08:06 AM It rides firmer at 2 then at 1, so I just set it between them and the suspension angles are closer to stock. After I did this my tire wear slowed done dramatically. Ex-PzKW Cdr 09-01-2006, 10:48 AM arnick'02-6spd 09-02-2006, 06:00 AM Means my struts' comparatively loosy goosy behavior is due to modified ride height or wear. Don't think I'd get audi to agree that they are worn beyond manufactures specs, though, so replacement would be an expensive exercise of fastidiousness and denial of the aging of my vehicle. On the other hand, I've been bombing around in my mother's younger 4.2 and it feels sooo great... You wouldn't happen to know what the struts go for? gonna play with the ride height first.
