What is the difference other than speakers and subwoofer ?
Does anybody have specs of sub and speakers ?

Thanks !

was an enhanced set of speakers...no specs given...on window sticker it simply says BOSE premium sound system $750...I know that doesn't help much, but I will tell you that I recently drove an A4 that didn't have BOSE and I could really tell the difference.

I'm not a fan of the Bose sound for car or home. So I've VAG'd mine to not use the Bose built in frequency response. i think it sounds more natural this way.

It was out in the rain all last weekend, and even did a little off-road mud running Sunday. I really need to at least hose it off.

Hopefully all that detail work a couple weeks ago will help make this clean up go faster.

Never been Bose fan, because I've found their stuff to be overhyped, overpriced, and over-reliant on electronics to fix the problems inherent to the cheap components they tend to use. I hate to say that so bluntly because I dislike blanket criticisms, but I honestly haven't ever found anything redeeming about Bose, and frankly their advertising insults me.

(snob warning) I'll be swapping mine out in large part for the principle of it, but I do expect to improve both extremes of the frequency spectrum without too much trouble (that sub just ain't cuttin it for a dedicated box).

In all honesty, after living with it for 6months now, the stock Bose system isn't overtly problematic: if that's what you've got already, it doesn't scream for an upgrade. But if you've got whatever the other option is (not famliar with this) and are looking to step it up, put together your own system. Also, if you're like me and you spend a lot of time in ze auto, there's not a whole lot of other entertainment to be had, and it makes a lot of sense to me to have a sold system handy. I've never regretted a single penny I've spent on good sound...and there have been many.
