The leatherette driver's side seat of my '98 1.8Tqm has been developing a series of small cracks lately (??!) on the left seat bolster; one of which has turned into an actual rip...resulting in a one and a half year old car with a torn seat!

I have yet to ask my dealer about this, but I doubt that it is anything that I am doing to cause this unsightly tear.

Anybody else who's experienced similar dilemmas? Thanks--
