So I just got my ar a week ago today. :) Too bad I've been out of town most of that time to enjoy it. I'm pretty anal about maintenance, and being unsure if the dealer did the oil recently, I'm going to just go ahead with the change. So last night I lay down on the couch to read through the manual. Hmmm... I have an Audi A6 manual. What weight oil does the ar call for? And what is the quantity? Looking through the search results (tough searching on oil), it seems preferrable to be using the Syntec 0w-40?

Mobil1 0w40 & Castrol Syntec 0w30, sold at AutoZone, are two such oils in the USA.
