My husband posted earlier asking about whether or not we should buy a '99.5 A4 that we found at a Daewoo dealership. It was listing for 26,900 but after much haggling, we got it down to 23,850. We appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions and I'm happy to say that we took everyone's advice, had it checked through CarFax, and found everything to be perfect. We just got it home and love it.

I get to be the primary driver of this car which I'm happy as a bug about since I spent the past 3 years in a car that I detest (boo hiss - Mercury Mystique). We haven't had the car 2 hours and my husband's already talking about changing it with a chip and an exhaust tip that will make it "more efficient" (I know it's just to make it faster).

We feel like it was a good deal but we're still a little unsure since we're brand new to the Audi family. Does it sound okay to you seasoned Audians?

I have been tracking the A4 forums for quite some time now and I have heard of some really good deals and some really bad ones too. I think that the longer you spend here, you will find that your purchase was a great deal. Now I hate you and one other guy who beat the deal I got after bargaining and shopping for nearly 7 months.

I cannot believe the deal you got!! No that I have any doubt your great deal but you might want to have the engine checked as soon as you can to make sure. The Carfax does not reveal any mechanical damage that may occur from abuse or flaw. You can take it to any Audi dealer and have them do a quick diagnostic when you get your first oil change.
