I was in the 97 jetta... on one of those long straight Long Island side roads that calls for 50 but is a 30MPH limit. No V1 in the car and .yup... radar got me clean 46 in a 30.

PO gets out of his shining new Impala Black Unmarkedm and said "you know I got you at 46?"

I said "sure you did. I was just driving and I keeping steady."

(I have not had a ticket in many years.)

He said I'm not going to give you the speed..16 over is a $550.00 fine..i'l right it up as "failure to obay a traffic device."

I said thanks and Happy New Year.

He hands me a freshly printed on thermal paper an 8.5x11 ticket.. Our tax dollars hard at work.
Nothing illegiable possible.
SO I guess I'll pay it and be thankfull...

In the allroad he probably would have given me the $550.00 ticket.
