Now that I've had the APR chip, new turbo diverter valves & H-sports installed my tuner is recommending an exhaust system overhaul.

He's recommending the APR system. Quoted at $1500 including installation.

What can I expect to gain from performance?

He says increased HP & earlier spooling turbos.

And the cool noise & looks. That's really most important :)

to pay more.
Sorry.

Considering that's the most insightful answer I've received I can't really criticize you for it.

Yeah, it'll cost me a bunch of pennies. But I'm hoping that someone can comment on performance.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

another is the "search" button. It's really easy to use and it won't bite.....so use it.

The guys here are super helpful so be patient, I've found that most responses come later in the day.

Supersprint exhaust and K&N intake. Never dynoed, but seat of the pants impressions were quite positive. The sound is amazing..kinda quiet at first then a refined growl as you get up on the cams. I think the intake and exhaust were supposed to be good for about 20hp total, and it certainly seemed like you could feel it in the upper RPM range. Bottom line is anything that helps your motor breathe better will help performance. I'm doing H-sports and wheels next..but after that will be doing full exhaust.

LOL

Saw the post below. Doesn't really answer my question & delves more into cost.
I'm very familiar with "search." Been there, done that. Too difficult to wade through all the replies. Plus, it's sooooo 2002.

C'mon...it's 2005 and I'm part of the "ME" generation. I've had one too many quad lattes, have some cash burning a hold in my pocket and need my questions answered NOW.

Anyone taking that last part seriously should be drawn & quartered :)

What do you mean by full exhaust?

Pardon my newbishness.

Maybe Steve will chime in if he's around to answer any additional questions that Mr.-I-can't-wait-give-me-my-latte-NOW might have... :)

Great sounds, from both the turbos and the exhaust note. However, the turbos do kill quite a bit of the low tones.

Very cool looking large exhaust tips which say "I modded this beast" (or something like that...)

and some seat of the pants dyno results under hard acceleration.

Plus, what the hell else are you going to do with that $1500 that's burning a hole in your pocket?!

Now there's someone who understands the way I think !!!!!

Just spoke with the tuner. He's recommending the APR Cat-back system and estimates 15-18 HP gain. Plus all the other fringe benefits that have been described thus far.

You can do exhausts 3 ways...cat back..which replaces everything aft of the catalytic converters, or you can do cat-back + down pipes(in the ar essentially turbo back) or go full boat and do exhaust manifolds as well. I actually mis-spoke, as a true full exhaust would include manifolds, but I'm only planning to do downpipes back..

and I still really like the Milltek. They aren't the loudest ones available, but that's fine with me. There certainly is an improvement in exhaust flow rate over the stock system - which translates into a little more power. I also still like hearing the subtle burble upon deceleration.

Very well made too - the only thing (for nit-pickers) is that the two tips don't hang down equally. Someone said that their jig wasn't set quite right for the allroad. It's about a 1/2 inch different. I thought about it, but never bothered to bend the supports a little - which I think would fix it.

Sound is subtle; quiet in the cabin, but you can hear it outside on idle and inside on boost. Not sure about increased HP, but if that's your #1 concern, a chip will be half of what you spend on exhaust.

man, i gotta get me one of those, that looks and sounds great! Well, that's still on my wish list...
Glad to see you still enjoy it though!
