I have a new 1.8T Avant Quattro, and I am hearing a muted groaning noise that occurs after the engine is warmed up. More accruately, it sounds like some sort of mechanical pump that comes on almost randomly for short burst (1-3 seconds). I do not know if this the intercooler or what.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is this normal for the 1.8T engine? If so, please advise. My dealer seems to be hard of hearing, because when I dropped the car off with them, they said they did not hear anything! Just like going to the doctor while sick and they say that everythings OK.
